About MyTurn Health
Powering Nigeria's Pharmacy, Prescription & HMO Settlement Infrastructure
Founded in Lagos and built for Nigeria, MyTurn Health is transforming how pharmaceutical wholesalers distribute, how pharmacies operate, how doctors prescribe, and how patients access medications. We are a full-spectrum pharmaceutical technology company — owning the flow from the warehouse floor to the patient's hand, and from the prescriber's signature to the settlement account.
MyTurn Health was founded by a pharmacist and computer science and engineering founder. That combination — clinical pharmacy plus systems engineering — is why the platform is architected as switch-grade infrastructure (atomic, auditable, interoperable) rather than an application layered on top of a database.
Our pharmaceutical wholesale division, MyTurn Pharma, powers B2B distribution across Nigeria's six geo-political zones through four strategically located warehouses in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Kano. We supply 25+ manufacturer partners spanning local Nigerian makers, regional African suppliers, and global brands — with NAFDAC-verified traceability, FEFO expiry management, cold-chain IoT monitoring, and tiered pricing across 1,470+ mapped pharmacies in 37 states.
On the technology side, MyTurn Data — our central intelligence platform — provides the identity, security, and sovereign infrastructure that ties every module together under a Zero Trust architecture. The Predictive Intelligence intelligence engine delivers real-time physician verification and bio-surveillance across Nigeria's 774 LGAs, while our Telemedicine Gateway, Continuity Vault, and Compounding Engine extend the same sovereign spine to diaspora consults, family record sharing, and USP-compliant personalised medicine.
What We Built · The Two Switches
HMO Settlement Rail · Split-Settlement Engine. On every completed prescription dispense, Turn-Pay auto-routes funds three ways in a single atomic transaction — pharmacy cost 85% / platform fee 5% / HMO/NHIA pool 10% — computed in kobo-exact Decimal arithmetic so the legs always sum to the full amount with zero rounding loss. The rail includes NHIA real-time claim adjudication, Triple-Handshake verification (signed Rx + pharmacist scan + patient confirmation), PCI-DSS tokenization of card data, and Dual-Rail failover across Interswitch Autopay, NIBSS NIP, UPSL, and NIP 2.0 offline USSD. Nigerian pharmacies stop waiting weeks for HMO reimbursement.
E-Prescription Switch · Prescription Clearinghouse. Turn-Clinic generates a prescription as an HL7 FHIR R5 MedicationRequest resource, signs it with the prescriber's key, and posts it to the Clearinghouse, which issues a short-form atomic token. The Single-Fill Guard — an atomic lock with a 15-minute time-to-live — ensures only one pharmacy can dispense any given prescription. A second pharmacy attempting the same token is refused; an already-filled Rx returns an already-dispensed response. Every status transition writes to a SHA-256 hash-chained audit trail with tenant-level row isolation. This is the atomic guarantee that makes Nigeria's single-fill prescription mandate technically enforceable at the switch rather than as a paper policy.
Described in architectural conversations as "the Visa/Mastercard of Nigerian prescriptions" — descriptive analogy, not tagline. A doctor signs an Rx, the Clearinghouse issues a token, one pharmacy atomically locks and dispenses, the settlement engine fires, and pharmacy + MyTurn + HMO pool are credited in kobo-exact Decimal — every leg walkable end-to-end by a NAFDAC, PCN, MDCN, or NHIA auditor. Built for Nigeria. Data residency on Nigerian soil. Designed in alignment with NDPA 2023, the PCN Act 2022, NAFDAC 2026 traceability, Evidence Act 2011 § 84, and the CBN 2026 AML baseline.
Why This Matters · May 2026 Lagos Genesis. MyTurn Health launches the 20-pharmacy Lagos Genesis pilot in May 2026, anchored on sovereign on-soil hardware in Lagos and integrated with the first cohort of HMOs and prescribing doctors. The ecosystem beyond the two switches includes Pharma-OS Hub, Turn-PMS with USP <795> compounding, Turn-Academy, Turn-Pharma wholesale, MyTurn Data, MyTurnDrugApp, Maternal, Imaging, and Turn-Lab — each built to the same switch-grade discipline and each delivered under the Nigeria Startup Act 2022.
Mission: to digitize and secure every pharmaceutical and prescription transaction in Nigeria — from importation to wholesale to dispense to HMO settlement — on a sovereign platform that puts Nigerian healthcare first.
